Vivo is getting ready to release its new phones, the Vivo X100 series, in its own country later this year. We’re still waiting for Vivo to tell us all about these phones, but there are some new rumors from China that suggest there’s a big safety and connection feature in these new phones. Let’s find out more!
Vivo X100 Pro to feature Satellite Connectivity
To recall, Huawei was the first smartphone company to introduced the satellite connectivity on its Mate series phone. The recently launched Apple’s iPhone 14 series also got the same satellite connectivity that can be used to communicate with emergency services in case someone is stranded in an area with no cell connectivity.
Vivo could now be joining the game with its upcoming Vivo X100 Pro flagship smartphone based on a Weibo post by WhyLab (via). The device, with model number V2309A, was spotted on MIIT certification with the listing stating two-way satellite connectivity. This should allow the phone to transmit and receive text, pictures, voice recordings or even videos without being in the range of a cellular and exclusive through a satellite connection.
