The YouTube Music team working on more improvement on its music streaming service and is now developing a new feature for the Android app. YouTube Music is launching a subscription-based “Activity” notification feed that’s accessible through a bell icon that’s the same one used by the main YouTube app to report notifications.
YouTube Music app adds artist activity feed
The bell icon appears only on the Home tab and is located at the top left of the search button. This feed shows updates from artists the user has subscribed to and other activity.
The feed currently shows new singles and albums in reverse chronological order, and each row includes an image of the artist, cover art and name of the work.
The YouTube Music app will offer a list of suggested artists that quite accurately reflects your listening history, and going into the “Library” tab and turning on the “Artists” and “Subscriptions” filters will show you the list of everything you’ve been on subscribers.
