Google has been taking Android Auto to heart, which is about to receive new features, especially regarding Google Maps , a crucial app for the experience offered to the motorist. Earlier this month, Android Auto improved parking location on Google Maps , and now users are getting another new addition to the overall look and feel of Android Auto.
The Android Auto theme adapts to the wallpaper of your smartphone
Currently, Android Auto users have to make do with the choice of wallpapers that Google makes available, which isn’t exactly the best, but soon the smartphone’s background image will be reflected in Android Auto even if it is particularly colourful. Here’s an example.
You may or may not like the new feature, but if you don’t like it, Google allows you to deactivate this feature which will be enabled by default.
The Android Auto dynamic theme is currently being released and its rollout should be completed within a few weeks.
Android Auto will soon use artificial intelligence to better manage incoming messages to avoid distracting attention from driving.
Version 11 arrives for Android Auto users
Since the beginning of 2023, Android Auto users have received constant updates, starting with the new Coolwalk interface and continuing with various minor changes, as well as the resolution of some of the bugs encountered.
As per tradition, version 11 arrives without an official changelog but the new release of the platform should bring with it some important news, including an increase in the Android version among the minimum requirements (at the moment it is sufficient to have a device based on Android 8.0 Oreo ), of which users will be informed through a specific notice.
There are several features that the developers are working on and which could be implemented over the next few months, such as support for custom icons and the possibility for users to have greater freedom of choice regarding wallpapers (including the possibility to synchronize the one set on the smartphone).
