The Vivo X Fold 2 foldable smartphone is set to get a successor in China. As per the Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 3 may be thinner and lighter than many of its competitors, including the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 and OnePlus Open.

The upcoming Vivo X Fold 3 will have a thickness of 5mm when unfolded and 10.5mm when folded, making it about 3mm slimmer than the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5.
Apart from this, the tipster also revealed that Vivo might equip the vanilla variant with the previous-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Cortex X3 core clocked at 3.2GHz, two Cortex A715 cores at 2.8GHz and three Cortex A510 cores at 2.0GHz, along with an Adreno 740 GPU.
