Blackmagic Design released the Public Beta 2 version of DaVinci Resolve 19 software, which has made many improvements and bug fixes.
DaVinci Resolve 19 Public Beta 2 released
Adds the ability to wipe or apply color corrections to clips or active node stack layers. With the update, you can wipe between gallery stills and timeline projects to compare color grading effects, with the option to apply grading to individual layers or the entire clip.
Added support for safe area overlays used in the editing timeline viewer, and the ability to display the overlay during cut or cut page viewer playback, making it easier to see and position elements like logos and titles, so that they are always displayed in the frame and will not be cropped.
When you use media management tools, you can trim audio from MOV and mp4 video files. This means you can save space by trimming unwanted FLAC or mp3 audio.
Restored the ability to choose whether to update a DaVinci Resolve project to the latest version when opening it. Now, when you open an old project, you will be prompted to back up the project before updating it to the latest version of the software.
This update also includes several bug fixes from the public beta, including resolving an issue where transitions cannot be copied and pasted on the editing timeline.
Allows compositions with alpha layers to be used on top of other clips. Restore middle-click functionality and apply the composition to Fusion clips. Restore sync functionality to dialogue separator tools and more.
