Samsung’s upcoming flagships are all set to launch on January 17, 2024. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is Samsung’s top-of-the-line phone for the year, is expected to drop a major design element.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra leaked in a video
Now, the leak shows off the flat display of the device up-close and confirms that Samsung is indeed giving up on curved displays for its flagship devices.
The move is not surprising but might disappoint some loyal fans. Curved displays were mostly an aesthetic addition to phones, resulting in durability issues. Curved screens are prone to cracks, and a screen protector is harder to find. Further, curved displays also result in the phone having a thinner frame.
