Google is working to improve its Play Store with new features as well as new changes to its existing interface. The dark theme in Google’s proprietary apps is generally more gray than black but in the Google Play Store, the US giant has decided to test a much darker version.
Darker theme for the Google Play Store
Previously, Google added the dark gray theme used by the Google Play Store has been identical to Google apps without the dynamic color theme (code 1F1F1F ).
Google Home, Google News, and Google TV only use a blue accent color if needed (like in the bottom bar) but otherwise have light gray backgrounds.
The new dark theme of the Google Play Store (code 131314 ) is not yet black in AMOLED style but it is much darker than the previous version. Apart from the above changes, the Google team also made the bottom bar darker, although it’s lighter than the rest of the app, to provide adequate contrast.
For your information, the latest changelog is available on the version 37.0.22-29 of the Google Play Store (find the dedicated page on APK Mirror by following this link ) and there is no information on when it will be made available to all users.
