Samsung’s latest Galaxy S23 Series is powered by Qualcomm processors flagships but, according to some rumors, the company could return to the adoption of two different processors (based on the marketing market) with the next Galaxy S24 family.
Samsung Exynos 2400 key specifications
Here’s what is known at the moment about the future Samsung Exynos 2400 processor. Exynos 2400 is expected to use the latest Arm CPU cores, the CPU would be configured with 10 cores in total (1+2+3+4).
CPU would consist of a single high-performance Arm Cortex-X4 clocked at 3.1GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9GHz, two more A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores at high-efficiency energy clocked up to 1.8 GHz. Exynos 2400 will be 64-bit only and the GPU could be built on AMD’s most powerful RDNA 2 graphics architecture, named Xclipse 940, which can offer double the graphics compute units.
The new proprietary chipset should boast improvements in the field of artificial intelligence. On the connectivity side, the Exynos 5300 modem announced at the beginning of the year could be used, capable of offering download speeds of 10 Gbps and upload speeds of 3.87 with some improvements such as a two-way satellite communication technology, new advanced carrier aggregation technologies, better energy efficiency and other features in the new 3GPP 5G version 18.
Exynos 2400 is expected to support UFS 4.0 memories, up to 8.5Gbps LPDDR5X RAM, as well as 320MP imaging and 8K60 video support via the image signal processor.
