Genesis Motor America disclosed that it going to expand to 10 new US states recently. And added two more standalone retailers in California and Louisiana. Also, the luxury brands’ electric models are now accessible in retailers in Arkansas, Hawaii, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Genesis, the Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury brand has expanded its presence to double from last February. The automaker is capable of selling electric cars in 33 states.
Therefore, buyers can able to buy Genesis EVs in states such as Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. The locations are in addition to the 10 mentioned locations.
Additionally, Genesis of South Bay and Genesis of Baton Rouge are the two new freestanding retailers for a total of nine. At the same time, each of its facilities features a showroom having its reaches personal advisors.
The Luxury automaker’s expansion comes after committing to end new gas-powered vehicle sales by 2026. The automaker now offers three all-electric models in the US. These models are comprised of GV60 SUV, Electrified GV70 SUV, and Electrified G80.
The first EV developed by Genesis in the US, the Electrified GV70 which is rolled off the assembly line in February. The automaker offers EV buyers three years of 30-minute complimentary charging sessions in the merger with Electrify America. Besides, EV customers can avail the advantage of Genesis Home, which is a one-stop shop having access to top-rated chargers, solar panels, and energy storage systems. Hyundai, which has its hold on Genesis and Kia, was also the newest to commit to adopting Tesla’s NACS. The same brings easier access to “at least 30,000 stations across North America.”
